CPR Training

Members from St. Johns County Fire Rescue will be at Hartley during our first annual Science Night on Thursday, May 8th, 2014 at 6:00 pm to offer Hands Only CPR training to children and adults. Hands Only CPR is an easy and interactive way to learn how to help someone if they suddenly collapse. It teaches you to call 9-1-1 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest to the beat of the classic disco song “Stayin’ Alive.” CPR can more than double a person’s chances of survival, and learning this life saving skill alongside your child will teach them, no matter how small they may be, they can still make a difference!

In addition, Fire Rescue will return on Tuesday, May 13th, 2014 at 6:00 pm to teach our families basic first aid skills. This class comes just in time for the summer season filled with high energy outdoor activities! Children and adults are all invited to learn these useful and handy skills!
